The null set represents the absence of elements, yet it is still considered a set. This paradoxical idea challenges our intuitive understanding of existence and non-existence. It exists as a mathematical entity, but it contains nothing. This contradiction leads to philosophical questioning around the nature of nothingness and whether it can be considered a "thing”. A meditative focus, sustained metaphysical and ontological inquiry has permeated my mind as a personal 'koan' - neither having nor needing an answer yet perpetually unfolding truth. Chaz
